McCarthy Named EPAC Player of the Week Back-to-Back While Earning Third Nationals Bid
For the second consecutive week (March 23-29), Delaware County Community College's Cheyenne McCarthy is EPAC Player of the Week for Women's Track and Field, awarded by the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Competing at the 2026 Danny Curran Invitational as the first Phantom ever to take on the 10,000m distance, McCarthy qualified for the NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field National Meet with a time of 48:38.34. She placed 36th overall in the large, highly competitive meet at Widener University and currently sits second in the NJCAA DIII national rankings. McCarthy had already earned Nationals bids for the 800m and 1500m in her first meet of the season. Congrats again, Cheyenne! Go, Phantoms!
