Phantoms Fall at Home to Montgomery County

Our DCCC Mens Soccer team hosted  the 7-1 Montgomery County Community College Mustangs. Still seeking their first win, the Phantoms struggle to get momentum going early in the competition. First half Phantoms fell behind early as the Mustangs came out in the first 10 minutes with a 2-0 lead. The Phantoms only had three shots in the half, struggling to penetrate the Montgomery County defense. The first half ended and the Phantoms trailled 2-0. (Goals: Montgomery County Community College Uladzislau Semchuk 3:28, Niklas Taeger 10:58)

In the second half, the Phantoms frustrations continued. The Mustangs again scored two goals quickly to expand their lead to 4-0. Phantoms managed to get on the board as Ibrahim Kamara found the back of the net on his penalty attempt. The Mustangs maintained dominance throughout the entire competition and secured the victory scoring twice more before the end of regulation. Delaware County falls to 0-11 and Montgomery County improves their record to 8-1 after their 6-1 victory. (Goals: Montgomery County Community College Pedro Louissaint (assisted by Osvaldo Carbajal) 54:49 and 64:30, Phantoms Ibrahim Kamara 69:01, Montgomery County Community College Niklas Taeger 77:17, Isaac Rodriguez 77:24).
