Men's Soccer Finalizes Schedule
Delaware and Chester Counties, PA — The Delaware County Community College men's soccer team has its eyes on a return to the region playoffs in 2022.
Second-year head coach Fatoma Turay is looking to build the Phantoms into a perennial regional contender and this year's journey will begin on September 6 at Harrisburg Area Community College. The contest against the Hawks will be the first of four straight on the road as the Phantoms will also travel to Manor (Sept. 8), Bucks (Sept. 10), and Montgomery (Sept. 13) in the opening week of the season.
September continues with the home opener against Lackawanna (Sept. 15) followed by a Saturday visit from nearby Williamson College of The Trades on Sept. 17 at noon.
Two straight Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) games are up next with a trip to Lehigh Carbon (Sept. 20) and a home date against Harrisburg on Sept. 22
The final home contest in September should be a great one when the Phantoms welcome Ocean County College on Sept.24 as visiting DCCC gave the Vikings, an eventual 2022 regional finalist, all they could handle in a hard-fought double-overtime 2-1 loss last fall.
The Phantoms will close out September and begin October with back-to-back games against EPAC foe Northampton on Sept. 27 (away) and Oct. 4 (home). Contests againt Lehigh Carbon (Oct. 6) and Montgomery (Oct. 8) will cap a three-game homestand.
DCCC then travels to regional opponent Salem Community College on Oct. 11, followed by another road tilt at Lackawanna (Oct. 13), before the regular season comes to end on Oct. 18 against visiting Rowan-Gloucester at 3:30 p.m.
