Jenkintown, PA—The Manor College men's soccer team jumped out to a two-goal lead at intermission and never looked back, as the Blue Jays defeated visiting Delaware County Community College, 4-0, on Monday afternoon.
Manor (5-4) scored the first goal of the game at the 17-minute mark, and then tacked on another right before halftime. The Phantoms (3-7) eyed a comeback, but the Blue Jays had other ideas, as they extended their lead just a minute into second-half action, before closing out the scoring with 15 minutes remaining in the contest.
Henry Gjergo led the offensive effort with seven shots while Prince Cassell had four.
Victor Bussab suffered the loss in net despite 11 saves on the day, before Jonathan Deutsch came on in relief.
