(Lincroft, N.J.)— The Delaware County Community College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as the Phantoms fell to host Brookdale Community College, 4-1, on Tuesday afternoon.
Henry Gjergo tallied the lone marker for DCCC (1-1) off an assist from Prince Cassell in the first half, before the Jersey Blues (2-1-1) erupted for four unanswered to close out the scoring. The goal by Gjergo was his second in as many contests.
Victor Bussab registered nine saves on the day before Jonathan Deutsch registered his first collegiate save over the final 10 minutes of action.
It will be a quick turnaround for the Phantoms as they travel to Manor College on Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. contest against the Blue Jays.
