Bio

Cara Fordenbacher (she/her), is in her fourth year of coaching Track and Field. In her time as Head Coach at DCCC, she has had six All-Americans, one Region Field Athlete of the Year, and various EPAC, NJCAA, and Region 19, and National athletes of the week as well as All-Academic athletes. She was named the 2025 Delaware County Community College Coach of the Year for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. 

Cara received her B.A. of Psychology from Eastern University, where she competed on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams for four years. She was a distance runner in the Fall and competed in the multi events (Pentathlon/Heptathlon) during the Winter/Spring seasons. She was a member of the 2020 Eastern University Women's Indoor Track and Field Middle Atlantic Conference Championship team, placing 7th in the Pentathlon and scoring 2 points to help her team secure the program's first ever conference championship. She received her M.S in Higher education Policy and Student Affairs from West Chester University in 2022 and started her role of Coordinator of Athletics and Campus Engagement at Delaware County Community College shortly after. She is excited to delve into the realm of coaching, where she can combine her passion for running and student development into one inclusive and cohesive space for student athletes to grow, learn, and eventually move on to achieve their future goals. Cara lives in Bryn Mawr, PA with her partner, where she enjoys reading, being outside, and relaxing!
